Memories Are Important

I’ve been silent—at least on my blog. It’s probably time to get back to writing, back to blogging. But where to start?

I don’t think you need a day-by-day update of the past two months. Not even a week-by-week play of the events. Suffice to say life’s been full, life’s been good, and there have been many memory-making moments over the holidays.

Good ones like yet another Christmas with my hubby. … Taking a full week off that didn’t involve any hospitalizations, but just great family time! … Laughing together with the family over an animated movie—and then laughing weeks later as favorite quotes from the movie popped up at unexpected moments. … Having a beautiful white Christmas, but without the extreme cold that would make me want to wish it away!

Of course, there was a not-so-good memory. That’s the one where the flu bug grabbed hold of me and put me to bed for the last few days of an otherwise splendid holiday! But they were all memories nonetheless. And memories are important. What memory-making moments have you had over the past few months?

I am a pastor’s wife, former missionary, mother of four great sons (and a wonderful daughter-in-law!), and author of three Christian suspense novels: Betrayed, Identity Revealed, and A Murder Unseen. (Available at: Amazon.com.) I have a passion for God, my family, and writing!

Glad you are over that awful flu big and so glad you have enjoyed many special memories over Christmas! May every day bring another memory or two or three as you spend the time together. Continuing to pray.
