…and April is gone!

Have you ever had a month that came and went and you were left spinning your head wondering how it happened? That’s what this April was like for me. It seems like just yesterday I was flipping the calendar to begin April…and suddenly I’m flipping it again and we’re into May.

Between the multiple responsibilities that make up my life—plus Easter weekend, a weekend trip to Canada, and another weekend with visitors—the month came and went way too quickly!

From the lack of activity on my blog, to my scaled back to non-existent activity on social media in general, it was a good month to take what I would call a social media sabbatical. It’s needed at times. Just some time to disconnect where possible and re-evaluate things.

So the calendar has been flipped again. A new month has begun. I’m getting connected again. Back into social media. Back into blogging. Back into facebook. Back on the grid.

So, how was your April? Anything interesting to share? Feel free to comment!

Glad to have you back Rosie. I agree the disconnect is vital. I have been creating a new Youth Tube vision to encourage people to send in their children/s art. And Doug is about to leave for Niger where there is another famine stealing the lives of children.

It’s good to be back! Sounds like you’ve been busy in my absence! I will have to pop over and check our your Youth Tube. 🙂

April was a blur! I am starting to wonder if maybe I need a sabbatical. I have cut back on the social networking time, but I still feel a little pressure. I think part of it is the lack of face-to-face interaction, and I’m working on that. Great to have you back, Rosie!

A balance in all things is so very necessary. Disconnecting for a bit—even with the rest of life remaining insanely busy—did wonders for me. Maybe it’s your turn. Maybe you should take a week to disconnect if this is a non-crucial point in your social media life! Disconnect, then go have lunch with some friends for that missing face-to-face interaction. 🙂
