Life Goes On…

Life goes on….

Last week it was determined that chemo was not helping, that the cancerous tumors were growing despite the best efforts of the doctors. Definitely not what we had wanted to hear…but life goes on.

Part of me wants to grab the wheels of time and bring them to a screeching halt. Yet, in a strange and odd way, there’s comfort in the daily routine of life. The alarm still wakes you each morning, reminding you to get up and out the door for work. The house still needs to be cleaned, the laundry washed, and the family fed. There’s church to attend, groceries to go buy, and date night to hold in high regard. It’s like Ecclesiastes 3:1 says: “To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Right now we just live our lives. We live pretty normal boring lives. We can almost forget that cancerous tumors are threatening that normalcy, but not quite.

Still, life goes on….

    Greetings Rosie & Matt

Thank you for taking time to share as you do !!!

While we haven’t seen you since you were little kids ( Matt you were only a toddler in those days, Rosie you were a somewhat older) we are praising the Lord that you have followed Him over these many years.

Jean & I only want to tell you that we watch for and follow your blogs, we pray for you both & realize that while you both love and totally trust the Lord there must be some stress you face at times.
Thanks again for taking the time to write as you do !!

    Love you
    Derrick & Jean

Been a while, hasn’t it? A few mixed memories in your note. I think your confusing my younger brother with Matt, my husband, who really is the elder of the two of us! We appreciate your prayers and the note. So good to be back in contact!
